Re: The Big Walk - Part 6

I shall unfortunately be unable to attend the big walk.  I shall be working the weekend and following this all my male colleagues have agreed to boff me up the arse so I won't be in a position to walk anywhere.  I shall of course have my eyes closed and be thinking of Simons widgey. Xxxx

Geese,
Good work. My only critique is that Chicago always invited lovers which was always a risk as  Tee could have invited most of the trail finders staff included the blokes.
I am pleased to see you haven't added the wankster and wide eyed rob to the mailing list- stay strong my friend.

Your email has brought a tear to my eye.  I can see that you're taking to this like a "Geese to water" - private Canoeing weekend gag which Paul can expand upon on the day of the Walk!

Obviously, I won't be there given 'Project Kitchen'.

However, I will be thinking of you all as I gradually lose my patience throughout the course of the day and wish I'd not ripped out my old kitchen.

Enjoy - and see you all at November's Big Walk.

Big Walkers

The next Big Walk will be taking place on Saturday 5th October 2013.

It will be yet another first - the first Big Walk that I will not able to attend - due to kitchen renovation purposes!!

The good news is that I have, over the last few years, implemented  a robust Development Plan, with the aim of appointing a Deputy Big Walker co-ordinator!!

I can now exclusively reveal, that following on from two very successful Sandstone Ridge walks, Paul (aka Geese) has officially accepted the offer of Deputy.

He will, therefore, be co-ordinating the Big Walk on 5th October.

I've warned him, however, that he must on no account start spreading the seeds of Mutiny!!

Geese will be in touch nearer the time with details etc, but if you have any route suggestions, feel free to forward them to him.

Thanks - and see you in November!!

The Morning After

After Sarah, Jill, Paul, Michelle and Jane joined us it all went a bit pear shaped. After the Limes we visited The Swan and Chequer, The Lower Chequer (best real ale of the day), The Bear, Curshaws and rounded off the evening at the Swan and Chequer Karaoke Disco. Spikey kept a paper record of the scores for a while and we abandoned the challenge after the Lower Chequer. We resolved to finish off the Sandbach 20 another day and will add any photos and scores to the blog.

Spikey had done well with his research, even though we forgot about the Commercial on his original list, he also included the Turnpike which is turned out to be a nursing home! There are also various clubs where you can drink in the Bach, cricket, rugby, Legion and golf clubs. Overall a fantastic 41st birthday for Spikey topped off by partying into the early hours with the locals at the Swan and Chequer.
